The administration of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine reserves the right in exceptional cases to cancel the concerts, change dates, concert programs and performers, which will be announced .
Visitor Guidelines
Dear visitors!
In the Philharmonic, the rules of good conduct are enforced more strictly than in the theater. True connoisseurs of music listen to their favorite sounds with bated breath. And the performers are disturbed by every extraneous noise. You may have noticed how the conductor is expected at a special time.
There is a special atmosphere in the Philharmonic Hall. Please pay attention to the Rules for visiting our concerts. By following them, you will show respect for other visitors, as well as for the artists and employees of the Philharmonic.
By purchasing tickets for concerts, visitors agree to these Rules and undertake to comply with them:

- The Philharmonic opens to the public 45 minutes before the concert.
- Entry to the concert hall (Mykola Lysenko Column Hall, Music Salon) is allowed after the first bell.
- After the concert has started, entry is allowed only during applauses between pieces. Latecomers may be temporarily seated by the duty administrator and move to their ticketed seat during the intermission.
- Entry is denied if a paper ticket is lost or significantly damaged. Duplicate tickets are not issued, and refunds are not provided.
- The Philharmonic is not responsible for counterfeit tickets and will not process related claims.
- Visitors must keep their tickets until the concert ends.
- Mobile phones and devices must be turned off or set to silent mode before the concert.
- In order to comply with copyright and related rights legislation, visitors are prohibited from recording video and/or audio of the concert. However, photography (without flash) and short videos are allowed with minimal screen brightness. Photos and videos may be shared on social media with recommended links to the Philharmonic’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
- Visitors to the Philharmonic should follow public conduct, etiquette, and fire safety rules, and treat the Philharmonic’s property with care. Any damages shall be recovered in accordance with the law.
- Visitors seated on the balcony of the Mykola Lysenko Column Hall are strictly prohibited from placing any objects (including mobile phones, photo or video cameras, etc.) on the balcony parapet (railing).
- Lost items should be reported to the duty administrator.
- A fee shall be charged for lost cloakroom tokens.
- The Philharmonic administration reserves the right to make changes to the concert program, if necessary, including changes to the list of performers and the repertoire. Visitors shall be informed of such changes via an official announcement published on the Philharmonic’s website, Facebook and Instagram no later than 24 (twenty-four) hours before the concert.
- Visitors have the right to return previously purchased tickets in the event of concert cancellation, rescheduling, changes to the concert program regarding the list of works, or changes in the lineup of performers - soloists, conductor - as well as in other cases stipulated by the current legislation of Ukraine.
In case of concert cancellation, visitors have the right to return purchased tickets within 14 (fourteen) days from the date the concert was originally scheduled to take place.
In case of concert rescheduling or changes to the concert program, purchased tickets shall remain valid for the rescheduled or altered concert.
However, visitors who do not wish or are unable to attend the rescheduled or altered concert due to changes in the program or lineup of performers - soloists or conductor - have the right to return their purchased tickets no later than 2 (two) hours before the rescheduled/altered concert starts.
Changes within the artistic ensemble (orchestra, ensemble) do not qualify as grounds for ticket refunds.
- In the event of ticket returns, the amount paid for the ticket shall be refunded to the visitor upon request:
- a) by the Philharmonic in accordance with the Ticket Return Policy, if electronic tickets were purchased on the Philharmonic’s official website or paper tickets were purchased at the Philharmonic’s ticket office;
- b) by the ticket operator or agent in accordance with the terms of the public offer agreement posted on the ticket operator’s website (electronic ticket sales service) and/or the terms of the agency agreement concluded between the Philharmonic and the ticket operator or agent, if electronic tickets were purchased on the ticket operator’s website (electronic ticket sales service) or paper tickets were purchased from the ticket sales agent.
- Evening concerts (starting at 6:00 PM or later) are open to children aged 6 and older, who should be accompanied by an adult and have their own ticket.
Children under 6 are welcome to attend daytime concerts and cultural events specially created for kids. - Visitors may remain in the building of the Philharmonic up to 30 minutes after the concert.
- Visitors are prohibited from entering the Philharmonic building:
1) with weapons, flammable, explosive, poisonous (toxic), radioactive substances, sharp or cutting objects, pyrotechnic devices;
2) under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants;
3) with animals;
4) wearing sportswear, beachwear, or dirty clothing/footwear.
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco, and hookahs, is prohibited.
Visitors are not allowed to enter the concert hall wearing outerwear, or carrying drinks, food, suitcases, backpacks, or other bulky items.
- In the event a visitor violates the Concert Attendance Rules (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Rules’), the Philharmonic staff have the right to require the visitor to immediately stop the violation and/or leave the premises.
If the visitor refuses to comply with the Rules or leave the building, the Philharmonic security staff have the right to remove this visitor from the premises, either independently or with the assistance of the National Police.
- Persons with disabilities and individuals belonging to other groups with limited mobility who require assistance (or accompaniment) when visiting the Philharmonic, as well as their accompanying persons, are requested to notify the Philharmonic in advance of their needs providing the contact information (name and mobile phone number) via email at service@philarmonia.com.ua or by phone at +38 (044) 270-59-02.
It is recommended that such visitors arrive at the Philharmonic building 25–40 minutes before the concert.

Important Information for Visitors During Martial Law
In light of the current martial law in Ukraine, we kindly ask for your attention to the following safety protocols in case of air raid alerts or power outages during concerts at the Philharmonic.
- In the event of an air raid alert before the concert, the performance will be postponed until the alert is officially over.
- If an air raid alert is announced during the performance, the concert will be immediately suspended. Visitors must remain calm and proceed to the nearest available shelter (the simplest shelter in the basement of the Philharmonic building or public shelters at 2 Khreshchatyk St. and 4 Khreshchatyk St., marked on the official Kyiv Shelter Map.
Ticket ushers and the duty administrator shall inform guests and assist with safe relocation to the nearest shelter.
- The concert will resume approximately 10–15 minutes after the all-clear signal is given.
- If the air raid alert lasts for more than one (1) hour, the concert (or part of it) may be rescheduled, if possible. Information about any changes will be communicated via: official website, social media (Facebook and Instagram), electronic ticketing platforms and partner ticket operators. If the concert cannot be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond the Philharmonic’s control, ticket refunds will not be made, in accordance with Article 10, Part 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Protection".
- In the event of a stabilization or emergency power outage during the concert, the Philharmonic’s team will activate an independent power source (generator) within several minutes. The concert will then continue as soon as technically possible.

Below is information regarding the accessibility conditions for attending events at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine for individuals who use wheelchairs.
- Ticket Purchase
On the ground floor of the Column Hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, we have designated several accessible seats for people who use wheelchairs. These seats are marked separately on our website (Column Hall seating chart). Tickets for accompanying persons can be purchased next to these seats. Access to events in the Column Hall foyer for people in wheelchairs is through the entrance to the courtyard from the foyer.
If you need assistance, please contact the administrator at the phone numbers listed above—they will help you to find your seat in the hall and provide information about the location of the wardrobe, restrooms, and buffet.
Air Raid Alert Signal
Due to the structural features of the Philharmonic building, as of 2025, we unfortunately cannot provide access to the Philharmonic shelter for individuals using wheelchairs.
