Felt in love with classic

Evening for true connoisseurs: those who felt in love with classical music!

The Fourth Symphony by Bethoveen and violin concerto by Sibelius, written 100 years ago. One composition belongs to classical stylistics, another one – to the late romantic period. In one composition –  clarity and sublimity, another one – excitement and dreaminess. That compositions are united, because during its long concert  life, the works become the classical, classic that form the repertoire of any orchestra.

The concert by Jan Sibelius, was incredibly complicated, so an unsuccessful premiere of this work – pity, understandable fact. Composer edited the notes  till the last moment. So soloist didn’t have enough time for learning the hardest moments of composition. “Slender greek girl, between two north giants”,- Robert Shumann calls the Fourth Symphony. Considering its place in the works of Bethoveen, the Fourth Symphony stays between two huge symphony works: The Third and The Fifth Symphonies. Schumann recognized her noble simplicity, economy of means, which, however, did not affect her artistic perfection.

Johan Sibelius. Concerto for violin and orchestra in d-moll (1905)

Ludwig van Beethoven. Symphony No. 4 in B-Dur (1807)
