National House of Music
Throughout history, the struggles of nations for independence and the right to self-determination have revealed many shared experiences. Despite cultural and other differences, they share common values such as peace, freedom and justice, and they understand the true cost and meaning of these values. For this reason, the music of two great Argentine composers, Astor Piazzolla and Ariel Ramírez, speaks so powerfully to our time.
Though geographically distant, Argentina speaks to us through the language of music, sharing our pain and offering hope for a brighter future.
