Once a month, usually on weekends, we invite you to a unique tour-concert at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, a true architectural and cultural gem that has witnessed centuries of history.
Built in 1882, this remarkable hall has seen many chapters of the city’s past. It once welcomed Franz Liszt, and in 1916, it hosted the premiere of Shchedryk by Mykola Leontovych, a melody that later captivated audiences around the world as Carol of the Bells.
The Philharmonic has witnessed pivotal moments in the development of Ukrainian culture. Its history has not always been easy. It has endured floods and wars, yet it has always been reborn.
Today, in its 163nd concert season, it remains the living heart of Kyiv’s musical life, a space of beauty, refined harmony, and untold stories.
During the tour, you will also enjoy a mini concert and hear the Philharmonic’s instruments in performance. It is currently the only place in Kyiv where you can experience the city’s only functioning concert organ.
