Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a philharmonic?
Thanks to our Open Rehearsal project, you have the chance to find out for yourself!
Launched in February 2023, the project offers young people a unique opportunity to experience the world of professional music up close. With prior registration, students studying music, arts, and culture can attend rehearsals featuring the National Philharmonic’s leading musicians and ensembles.
It’s a chance to see how music comes together, how conductors and musicians work as a team, experiment with sound, and bring their own interpretations to a piece. After all, there’s so much more to music than what we hear on stage.
Open Rehearsal is especially valuable for music students, young performers, and aspiring conductors, but it’s also open to anyone who wants to get closer to music and discover what goes into creating it.
More than just a rehearsal, it’s a space to learn, observe, and find inspiration. It’s also an opportunity to feel a little closer to the music, the musicians, and everything that happens behind the scenes.
