Volodymyr HOLOSNIAK
Stage Director
Volodymyr Holosniak is a Ukrainian stage director, actor, and cultural producer. He graduated from the Karpenko-Karyi National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television, majoring in Theatre and Film Acting (workshop of Iryna Molostova).
Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with leading Ukrainian theatres, including the Ivan Ozarkevych Drama Theatre (Kolomyia), the Ivan Franko National Academic Music and Drama Theatre (Ivano-Frankivsk), the Maria Zankovetska National Drama Theatre, the Kyiv Academic Workshop of Theatrical Art “Suzirya,” and the Ivan Kozlovsky Art and Concert Centre of the National Operetta of Ukraine. He has also been actively involved in independent theatrical productions.
Mr. Holosniak has participated in international theatre festivals in Germany, Albania, Israel, and the Czech Republic, as well as numerous festivals across Ukraine, earning multiple awards.
As a chief director, he has staged over 200 artistic events, including festivals, concerts, award ceremonies, state events, and presentations. Notable projects include Ukraine’s National Day at the World Expo in Shanghai; the Ukrainian Culture Festival “Sopot” in Poland; the concert “Forever,” dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Volodymyr Ivasiuk in Kyiv; the All-Ukrainian Festival of Contemporary and Popular Music “Chervona Ruta 2017” in Mariupol; the International Cultural and Arts Festival “Carpathian Space” (2017–2019) in Ivano-Frankivsk; and the Taras Shevchenko National Award ceremony (Kyiv, 2024).
He has worked as a television host on Ukrainian channels and continues to act in television and feature films.
In 2018, he was awarded the honorary title Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Volodymyr is also the author of the poetry collection You, Your Jester and Others, as well as a collection of contemporary prose, including the novellas The Choir of Jaruzelski, The Lame Man, and The Former Ones, along with other unpublished works.
