Celebrating the Birthday of Franz Liszt on the Occasion of Hungary’s National Day
Featuring students of the Kyiv State Music Lyceum named after M. V. Lysenko
How do young musicians see Franz Liszt? We will find out at a concert featuring students of the Kyiv State Music Lyceum named after M. V. Lysenko, who will explore the composer’s music to tell their own stories.
From the dreamy lyricism of Liebesträume to the virtuosity of Concert Étude No. 3, from the melodic charm of Oh! quand je dors to the breathtaking piano passages of the Transcendental Études, Liszt’s music opens up a world of diverse emotions and personalities.
For these young performers, it is an opportunity not only to test their skills against a demanding repertoire, but also to seek their own artistic style, discover a personal musical voice, and develop their individual perspectives on art through the composer’s music.
This musical tribute to Liszt is also an opportunity to celebrate Hungary’s National Day, as the composer’s work represents one of the brightest chapters in the country’s musical heritage.
