This programme offers an opportunity to hear how ideas about ensemble music have evolved over time, while preserving what matters most — the living emotion that arises from the interaction between musicians.
Four works, written in different eras, are united by their attention to the finest details of musical language. In the music of C. P. E. Bach, Mozart, Webern and Schoenberg, each instrument has its own character and voice, while the chamber ensemble becomes a space for particular expressiveness, freedom and interaction.
Oleg Moroz will perform the clarinet part in Mozart’s Concerto, with his instrument becoming one of the central voices of the programme.
At the podium will be Luis Castillo-Briceño, a young and talented conductor from Costa Rica who is rapidly gaining international recognition as one of the most promising conductors of contemporary classical music. Under his direction, the programme brings together musical clarity, the expressiveness of chamber music, and a spirit of innovation, revealing how the language of classical music has evolved while keeping each individual voice at the heart of the music.
