Music Without Borders. Latvia – Ukraine
The concert “MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS” is an artistic dialogue between the cultures of Ukraine and Latvia, where music becomes a universal language of unity.
The evening brings together Latvian and Ukrainian conductors.
The first part of the program explores Ukrainian musical heritage – from the epic works of Mykola Lysenko and the heroic Taras Bulba, to the vibrant folk-inspired sounds of Levko Kolodub, Ihor Shamo, and the festive energy of the Zaporizhian March in a modern arrangement.
The second part presents contemporary Latvian music – colorful, rhythmic, and expressive. Works by Raimonds Pauls, Rihards Karlsons, Andris Altmanis, and others blend academic tradition with the national colors of the Baltic region. A special highlight will be a clarinet solo, adding an intimate voice to the rich orchestral sound.
“MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS” is a celebration of friendship and the power of art to unite countries beyond distance.
