The 12th Days of Ukrainian Music have officially come to an end in the Polish capital. For almost three decades, this major cultural festival has been introducing European audiences to the richness and distinctive character of Ukrainian culture. The festival concluded with a performance by National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine.
Throughout the festival week, from 6 to 13 September, audiences had the opportunity to explore a wide range of Ukrainian musical traditions – from the sacred music heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries and the art of the kobzars to 20th -century classics and works by contemporary Ukrainian composers.
The culmination of the festival came on 13 September with a performance by our Orchestra, featuring major symphonic works of the 20th and 21st centuries. The orchestra was conducted by its Principal Conductor, Theodor Kuchar, while the solo violin part was performed by the renowned violinist Andrii Tchaikovskyi.

Roman Prydatkevych – Symphonic Poem “From the Mountains and the Plains”
Borys Lyatoshynsky – Symphony No. 4
Yevhen Stankovych – Violin Concerto No. 2
Ivan Nebesnyi – Orchestral Suite from the ballet “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors” *
The orchestra’s performance was a great success and received a warm response from the audience.
